To initiate a comprehensive computer education programme in all High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools for development of an environment of IT enabled teaching learning process and for implementation of ICT enabled teaching learning facilities, the Govt. of Assam has introduced a new scheme namely Dr. Banikanta Kakati Compute Literacy Programme.
Accordingly, 1130 candidates in the first phase have been engaged in the different schools of the state under Dr. Banikanta Kakoty Computer Literacy Programme while 277 candidates in the 2nd Phase are in the pipeline.
